Today, March 16, 2019, the first flight of the third prototype MC-21-300 took place at the aerodrome of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The flight duration was 1 hour 30 minutes, it took place at an altitude of up to 3,500 meters, the speed of the liner did not exceed 500 km/h. The plane was piloted by a crew of test pilots Andrey Voropayev and Roman Taskaev. During the flight, passes were made over the strip of airfield with retracted landing gear. The flight overall was successful.
