On February 21, 2019, at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, met the first flight of the new Boeing 737 MAX 8 airline MIAT – Mongolian Airlines. Flight OM135 (136) is operated on the route Ulan Bator – Moscow Sheremetyevo – Berlin Tegel and back.
When developing the Boeing 737 MAX 8, the main focus was on reducing fuel consumption, minimizing noise and environmental performance.
Externally, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 differs from its predecessors in more modern, fuel-efficient CFM International LEAP-1B engines, as well as wing tips of an unusual shape. Structurally, this element consists of three parts – central, lower and upper. This form of winglets reduces fuel consumption by 3– 3.5%.
The emblem of Mongolian airlines: Tulpar is a winged horse in Kypchak (Bashkir, Kazakh, Tatar) mythology. Corresponds to Pegasus in ancient Greek mythology.
At the moment, Mongolian Airlines has a fleet of 7 aircraft, the airline plans to get 3 more Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Deliveries are expected in 2019.
