“Peace Mission-2018”

From August 22 to August 29 in Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk region, a joint military antiterrorist command and staff exercise of the armed states members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization “Peace Mission 2018” was held. In August, more than 3,000 servicemen and more than 500 units of equipment, including aircraft, arrived in Chelyabinsk Region.

The military echelons came non-stop from August 15 on railway lines. At the same time, airplanes of the SCO countries flew to the airfield Shagol. The first to arrive were Indians and Chinese.

It should be noted that the military command, the ground forces and aviation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the People’s Liberation Army of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), as well as the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic Pakistan. Representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated as observers.

Arrival of the Kazakhstan Air Force. In the exercises on the part of Kazakhstan, such aircrafts as Casa C295, Su-30SM and Su-25 were involved.

The active phase of the exercises of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) “Peace Mission – 2018” kicked off on Wednesday at a training ground in the Chelyabinsk region.

At the air base at full speed the preparation for flight of aviation is going on.

At the same time the landing force of the Indian Republic is working out until the automatic action during the departure of the aircraft.

Airplanes of the PLA air force are put on alert.

At 11 local time, the helicopters of the PLA Mi-171E and WZ-10 helicopters, the attack helicopter produced by the PRC, are the first to leave for the test site.

Next is the assault and fighter aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the SCO countries.

We see how threats of terrorist activity are growing all over the world, geopolitical risks are exacerbating and we need to take retaliatory measures, the commander added.

It should also be noted that during the exercises participants of the “Peace Mission 2018” worked out an information and psychological attack on conditional insurgents. Information leaflets with calls for surrender were dropped from the Mi-8MTV-5 helicopter of the Russian Armed Forces to the occupied settlement “terrorists”. “Militants” received an SMS message with a proposal to lay down their arms. The dispatch of “terrorists” to mobile phones was made with the help of a drone “Leer-3”.

After the refusal to surrender, the assault began.

During the assault there were also wounded men, their safety and transportation to the hospital was provided by a group of medical specialists of the Russian Armed Forces.

The anti-terrorist doctrine “Peace Mission-2018” became the most ambitious for all time of carrying out such maneuvers. In total, more than 3,000 servicemen, more than 500 pieces of equipment and weapons, and about 20 drones were involved.

As a result of the exercises, the SCO military leaders demonstrated an exhibition of weapons and equipment.
